"The BBC Trust wants your views on whether it should allow the BBC to provide new video on-demand and podcasting services."
A similar analogy would be if the Ministry of Transport asked road users if they wanted motorways. Thankfully, the iPlayer has now been approved. Yet for me the whole process it raises concerns about how quickly the BBC can meet the demands of the fee paying public. I've known for years that users wanted services which work on all platforms (i.e. not just Microsoft products). As for series stacking: I can record all of the Top Gear episodes, but not Eastenders?!? Will the public understand why? Will they care? Or will they simply use another device to record every Eastenders when the iPlayer fails them? Is it obvious that I'm in a bad mood? ;)
