Why do I use Google search?

Its a question that I've only just started to challenge. I have worked at Yahoo! for around 4 months and until now dismissed Yahoo! search as a poor relative to Google in the search industry. An age old 'has-been' whom anyone who knows anything about the internet would never use. But is this really true? After all, I haven't used Yahoo! search for around 5 year and I really only used Google because everyone else did - didn't you? Recently, I installed the Firefox Yahoo! toolbar alongside Google and so I can try out the same search queries in both engines. After all, Sue Decker (President of Yahoo!) recently informed us that our UK search is now more relevant than ever. From the graph - satisfaction of our customers has risen three fold in just one year.

Anyway. Today has been a turning point. I think I actually prefer Yahoo! search results too. No way, I here you scream. Well all I can say is give it a whirl alongside Google - I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Oh, and for those of you that hate the Yahoo! front page, theres a low bandwidth speedy alternative here: http://search.yahoo.com/ Try it, you might like it...
